Intermittent Crashes when Moving Mated Objects (2025 SP0 - Framework 16)

Solidworks crashes without the traditional crash handler.  No messages stored.  Moving models / assemblies pass through an "invisible" plane where the object is no longer visible behind a plane.  (This is without the cutaway view enabled).  Crashes more frequent when moving objects.

Report happened on a Framework 16 w/ RX7700 graphics.  

Fix:

Installed Latest Framework Drivers Framework Laptop 16 BIOS and Driver Releases

Disabled Auto Update in the AMD panel.

{Reboot}

Under Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Graphics

• Add Desktop app
• Select file: C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS\SLDWORKS.exe
• Select the Solidworks
• Select GPU Preference, click Power Saving (Radeon 780M - or whatever the Solidworks Approved GPU is) - Dassault Systemes Hardware Certification
• Leave Optimizations for Windowed Games ON.
• Change Local Policy to not update drivers via windows update.

In Solidworks,

• Go to Options
• Click on the performance category, scroll down,
• Uncheck Enhanced Graphics Performance
• Restart Solidworks
