Network Licenses on FactoryTalk Activation Manager - Client Instructions
FactoryTalk activation is capable of utilizing a network server for licensing. This is beneficial because it allows your licenses to be shared among several users, without having to do the manual license transfer or dongle process. Licenses are typically automatically pulled from the server. There is also the ability to check out a license if you will be working offline. In many cases, forgetting to checkout a license when you’re working offline is only a minor inconvenience as there is a grace period on most Rockwell programming software.
