New User Request

Occasionally there may be a new user joining the team, in this exciting time it is important to update your IT Service provider before the new employee is onboarded.  This ensures that all resources are ready for them from their start date.  It is recommended to provide at least a week notice (5 business days).

Common requirements for creating a new user:

  • Full Name
  • Desired Job Title
  • If a specific email is required
  • What software they'll need to do their job, if this role is different than any other roles your IT service provider manages.
  • If they'll need access to any online services.
  • They'll also need to know if you expect the employee to bring their own device or if you are providing a device, or want your service provider to provide the device.  We highly recommend against BYOD for the primary work machine since that heavily entangles company data as well as personal data and in the event of a compromise, things become a bit more difficult.  Providing a device also assures that the employee has a quality workstation to work on, with policies set for your organization.

Our policy requires that an email is written from the customer's domain from one of the authorized representatives to make the request to add a user.  The requested user cannot have higher permissions than the requestor without other verification.
